Broadcrown Limited – the UK-based manufac turer of generator sets – has successfully gained accreditation to the new ISO 9001:2000 quality management systems standard.
The accreditation follows on from the company’s original registration to BS 5750 in May 1986, which made Broadcrown one of the earliest companies to gain the standard with the British Standards Institute.
This award reflects Broadcrown’s commitment to continuous quality improvement and even greater customer focus, says Allan Kay, quality assurance, health and safety (QA&HS) manager.
“This has been a lengthy transition process but it has focused everybody’s attention and we are already seeing the benefits of the new methods of monitoring and measuring our processes, allowing us to improve at all levels,” says Kay.
Broadcrown, has been manufacturing gensets and providing power solutions for almost 30 years. Having installed systems across the world for a host of requirements, environments and applications from hospitals and financial buildings to power stations for remote villages, Broadcrown has maintained its position as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of genets, says Kay.
