Italy-based automatic entrance specialist Ditec has introduced Volo, which it claims is specifically designed to satisfy the latest demands for sophisticated entrance facades.
This new drive has a reduced height for curved sliding doors, offering full rein to the creativity of architects and designers.
Automatic doors must blend perfectly with the sophisticated structure. With Volo, architects and designers can design ‘ad hoc’ their curved automatic door to make it an integral part of the project or of the existing structure, says a spokesman for the company.
Volo features a list of important and distinctive characteristics:
• The drive is only 10 cm high;
• Its component parts are tested and reliable because they have already been applied to the other Bis and Ten Ditec automatic systems;
• The system works perfectly with door wings with Ditec Pam 30 profiles and with generic profiles;
• It moves the wings by means of toothed belts and nylon wheels, which allow silent sliding;
• It enables an opening ranging from 90 to 180 degrees, and even intermediate ones, to satisfy the various design requirements of the building.
Elaborating on the product, he says: “The attractive curved wing movement together with its silent operation and the smooth movement of Ditec automatic systems, give the entrance a slick appearance and can be used at hotels, restaurants, and corporate buildings.
“Volo is reliable, thanks to Ditec's tested electromechanical elements. It is silent because of the toothed belt made in synthetic material and the strengthened nylon wheels, and is safe, thanks to its electric panel with PLC (programmable logic controller). Volo easily fits in with the existing transit area, making the best possible use of available space.
“Volo has been designed and is built in Italy by Ditec and is equipped with safety and control accessories in compliance with the regulations in force,” he adds.
