

Emirates Preinsulated Pipes Industries (EPPI), established more than two years ago to manufacture thermally pre-insulated pipe systems for chilled or hot water, steam, gas, and other energy-related applicationa, says it continues to experience high demand for its products across the UAE.
The company's manufacturing facility is located in Abu Dhabi Industrial area at Mussafah.
Since its inception, EPPI has been involved with a number of prestigious projects in the UAE which were specifically engineered and manufactured to suit individual project requirements for optimum cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency. These include the Leisure Complex, Raha Beach Resort, and MW shooting range connection, all in Abu Dhabi and other projects such as Rashid Primary School for Boys, and Al Salam Tower in Dubai and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Ajman.
EPPI is currently supplying its products for the Phoenix project plants 1 and 2 in Abu Dhabi.
EPPI's products are mainly used to transmit chilled water underground from a central plant to different buildings that require cooling or air-conditioning services. Its pipes support in regulating/maintaining the temperatures of multiple residential, industrial and commercial buildings across the UAE. After the chilled water cools each building, it is circulated back to the central plant through a closed loop of piping to continue the cycle.
''Since we began manufacturing and supplying piping to individual orders and exact project requirements in 2002, demand for our quality, ready-to-install and maintenance-free pre-insulated piping systems has been very gratifying,'' says Ghassan Sahli, general manager of EPPI.
EPPI offers complete pipe protection services prior to insulation, such as, shot/grit blasting externally and internally. Airless spray epoxy coatings are applied as per the project's specification.
EPPI's pre-insulated pipes are manufactured using the best available raw materials to suit the extreme climatic conditions of the UAE and are environmentally-friendly, economically sound and maintenance free, he says. Sahli explains: ''The pipe's CFC (chlorofluorocarbon)-free with zero ozone depletion insulating layer of rigid polyurethane foam efficiently maintains the water temperature and minimises energy losses.''
