HEK appoints new agent

HEK Manufacturing of the Netherlands has appointed Al Laith Scaffolding as its agent for the UAE.

Al Laith has purchased more than 30 HEK mastclimbing workplatforms, hoists and transport platforms, of which a substantial number are committed for rental orders. The equipment will be put into the company's rental fleet.

Al Laith, meanwhile, has appointed Steve Hellowell as area manager with responsibility for rentals and overseeing the installation and maintenance team for the HEK access equipment.

HEK Manufacturing has supplied equipment for many projects throughout the UAE including the Burj Al Arab hotel.

Ian Inglis, HEK's regional manager, based in its holding company Thyssen Krupp's offices in Dubai, sees many new opportunities being created and this agreement with Al Laith will only strengthen HEK's position in the area.

Tony Nobbs, managing director for Al Laith, said: "Al Laith's policy, along with its other divisions, is to provide a complete access solutions company."
