AL Rishdan Trading Establishment, one of the pioneer dealers in the field of paints and accessories which celebrates its 30th anniversary next year, is looking forward to improve its capabilities and strengthen its position in the market.

The company – which is claimed to be one of the first national establishments to explore the field of paints and accessories, and building materials – has already developed a considerable reputation in the Eastern Province and represents four major paint manufacturers; Sigma, Dyrup, Ameron, and Peta.
“Much of the achievements of the establishment have been possible due to the vision of the founder – Moajeb Mohamed Al-Rashdan Al-Dossary – who acquired his skills from his experience with Saudi Aramco Company”, says a spokesman.
Today, the establishment has a qualified team of staff and technicians who are specialised in the fields of paints and customer service.
Established in 1975, Al-Rishdan Trading Establishment initially concentrated on contracting and trading and then added on services including smithcraft and aluminium.
Al Rishdan’s relationship with Sigma began prior to the construction of Sigma’s factory in Saudi Arabia. “We were the first agent for Sigma in the area and in fact it was Al Rishdan which brought Sigma to the Kingdom through its showrooms,” says the spokesman.
“Al Rishdan Establishment has been awarded prizes and appreciation certificates for its efforts at marketing Sigma’s products in the region,” he adds.
In 1985, Al Rishdan inked a deal with Cyprus-based Peta to market and distribute the company’s rollers and brushes in the Eastern region.
In close succession, the establishment entered into dealership agreements with several other companies that include Oasis Ameron of California, US, for both industrial and decorative paints; Arabian Danish Paints Company (Dyrup) for paints; and the Arabian Building Materials Chemical factory in Jeddah, which manufactures a wide variety of paints under the name Horisan – a trademark owned by Al Rishdan.
The smithcraft and aluminium workshop division of the establishment, situated in the industrial area of Dallah, houses all equipment including the smithing tools, aluminium machines and skilled labour, and has executed many projects in field of smithing and aluminium with a high level of competency,” he says.
In addition, the firm has installed colour mixing machines at its showrooms in Dammam and Al Khobar.
