Shower System Shelf 1050’s thermostat housing serves as a shelf for shower utensils.

German complete bathroom supplier Duravit has unveiled two new products designed specifically for those who wish to create their own oasis of relaxation within their own four walls.

The Shower System Shelf 1050 and the Shower System 1000 fitting allow homeowners to enhance the quality of their bathroom substantially – for more individual feel-good moments away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, says the company.

Shower System Shelf 1050 is described as a genuine all-rounder that offers a particularly intensive showering experience that will leave the user feeling noticeably more relaxed and ready to take on all those everyday challenges, says a spokesman for the company.

“The Duravit shower system is a beauty to behold, featuring a minimalist design combining glass and chrome surfaces in a timelessly modern style,” he says. “The classic look can be individually combined with Duravit’s faucet ranges and perfectly complements any bathroom design. Form and function are blended to perfection, as manifested in the thermostat housing with its scratch-proof glass surface. This serves as a shelf for shower utensils, so there is no need for an additional shower basket.”

The system further includes individually adjustable shower options, such as the hand shower with Click! technology, which enables the user to switch quickly between spray types – invigorating, relaxing or massaging effect. The well-considered concept combines thermostat, hand shower, showerhead, shower rail and hose into a practical all-in-one solution which can be surface-mounted for quick and easy installation, he explains.

The shower system is operated via three rotating knobs with textured, knurled handles that are easy to grip even with soapy hands. The two pop-up knobs control water flow/volume and the spray type (showerhead or hand shower), while the temperature is set via the separate thermostat handle.

The Shower System Shelf 1050 is optionally available as a MinusFlow variant, in keeping with the ever-growing need for greater sustainability.

Shower System 1000 provides personal touches of colour for those who wish to create a design to reflect their own personal style.

“Shower System 1000 offers a broad range of colours, allowing the greatest possible scope for individual design. In addition to Chrome and Matt Black, the shower system offers further attractive options for individual bathroom design in the guise of three scratch-resistant and durable PVD surfaces – Brushed Stainless Steel, Brushed Bronze and Polished Gold,” the spokesman says.

Duravit offers the accessories programme Starck T as well as matching accessories from the whole portfolio to further enhance the system: showerheads, outlet fittings, handles for selected furniture ranges, flush plates, and siphons are perfectly coordinated with the faucet finishes and guarantee a harmonious and stylish ambience in the room.

For the first time, Duravit can offer an entire colour-coordinated bathroom fit-out with no compromises, the spokesman concludes.

Founded in 1817 in Hornberg in the Black Forest, Duravit is today a leading international manufacturer of designer bathrooms and is active in more than 130 countries worldwide. Its product portfolio comprises top-quality sanitary ceramics, bathroom furniture, bathtubs and shower trays, wellness systems, shower-toilets, faucets, and accessories as well as installation systems.
