THE Lulu Group has commenced work on Oman’s largest shopping mall.
“Construction work on the biggest mall in Oman has already started, next to Lulu in Bausher. It will house an amusement facility for children and an ice rink,” Lulu Group managing director M A Yussufali was quoted as saying by the Times of Oman, following the launch of Lulu’s newest hypermarket at Nizwa.
Lulu has also started reconstruction work at its hypermarket in Sohar – which had been set ablaze by anti-government protestors in February this year – and the store is expected to be operational in 12 to 16 months.
Lulu now has 10 hypermarkets in Oman and expects to open another two before the end of the year.
