“We are currently manufacturing decorative woodwork for a number of villas and palaces in the Eastern Province, namely in Al Khobar, Dammam, Hasa, Saihat and Qatif. We are also conducting a technical study and design for another group of villas and palaces,” says Shehab.
Fine Art Wood endeavours to provide each client with an exclusive piece of art. “We consider every project special, and have often surpassed our clients’ expectations. This is reflected positively through the steady increase in the number of contracts we have signed annually.
“We have achieved continuous growth due to our professionalism, the outstanding quality of our products, and strict adherence to delivery dates,” he adds.
The company has experienced multi-dimensional expansion, as it has entered into partnership with international companies operating in the same field, which has benefited its customers through enhanced services. In addition, it is in the process of upgrading its factory by acquiring state-of-the-art machines and employing highly-qualified staff, to add value to its projects.
Speaking of the financial crisis, Shehab says it had no effect on the company’s overall performance, thanks to the nature of its business that targets a niche segment of customers, who seek excellence and quality.
“While many companies operating in our sphere of business turned to commercial projects to avoid the impact of the global financial crisis, Fine Art Wood stuck to its roots and its principles and maintained a high level of quality and excellence, which reinforced its credibility with its target clients,” he says.
“Saudi Arabia is one of the countries that hasn’t been significantly affected by the global financial crisis due to the strength of the national economy. In fact, quite to the contrary, public spending on construction projects and infrastructure projects is increasing to meet the steady needs of the kingdom,” he adds.
Established in 2002, Fine Art Wood is a medium-sized company which is keenly eyeing expansion. The company is well staffed with experienced designers and engineers to perform all operations including design, supervision, production and installation.
“Our approach is to blend sophistication with comfort to produce an inviting ambiance,” the spokesman says. “We provide a personal attention to our clients’ needs while offering an excellent standard of designs and products.
“A unique feature of our factory is its ability to carry out turnkey contracts in-house without needing to subcontract any portion of any project. We are supported by an in-house workshop that is fully equipped with advanced tools and machinery to carry out the work using natural solid wood and the best quality of veneers and paints.”
The company derives benefits from being part of the Al Suwaiket Group of Companies, which also enhances its flexibility in terms of staffing levels.
“We can seek assistance in terms of staff and trained technical personnel from sister companies within the group, if the need arises,” Shehab points out.
As part of its future plans, the company seeks to increase its market share within its target segment by boosting its efficiency while building on its previous achievements and reputation as a specialised manufacturer of high-quality woodwork.
