WORK on the Dhahran Tower project has required detailed studies to ensure the efficient functionality of the residential building which is designed to be the tallest in the Eastern Province, according to Saudi United for Mechanical Electrical and Electronics Industries Corporation (Eco).
The company was awarded a one-year contract to supply and design all the electrical panels that link the low-voltage systems, including the main distribution panels that feed the building’s power network and are connected directly to the step-down transformers. These panels also connect the cooling and ventilation systems.
“One of the major requirements for these panels was that they had to be designed to be scalable and compatible with the building control systems,” says Rami Abdullah Al Amr, business development and marketing manager for the company. “Given the scale of the project and the multiplicity of its systems, an accurate study was carried out taking into account various factors such as the temperature, moisture and the nature of the investment of the building.”
“We are proud to have participated in this landmark project, which will be a significant addition to our project portfolio,” he adds. “We completed the project within 12 months.”
