COMTÜR, a specialist in the production of high-quality wooden interior and exterior doors, is delivering 3,500 fire-resistant doors to the Dhahran Tower project.

The doors, built in accordance with British Standard 476, include internal doors and flat entrance doors and have a 30-minute fire and smoke-proof rating.

Besides supplying the doors, Comtür’s assignment – which started in March last year – has covered support services including measurement on site, technical clarification, mounting and supervision. All doors will be fixed by the end of this month (December).

Commenting on this major project, Comtür’s sales manager Samir Gomaa says: “Dhahran Tower is the highest residential tower in the Eastern Province and is well renowned in the region. Given Comtür’s extensive experience in delivering for huge tower projects, we have faced no problem in handling the requirements of this project. The tower boasts high construction standards and good finishes and Comtür has enhanced the aesthetics by recommending an appropriate design for the doors to match the interior furniture and style.”

Amongst the numerous projects that the company has executed include tower projects in Dubai. “More than 10,000 doors – both standard and fireproof – were delivered to Saba Towers One, Two and Three. In addition, about 500 internal doors and 36 entrance doors were supplied to the Sandoval Lanes project,” he says.

Comtür has also delivered doors for a couple of villa projects in Abu Dhabi and has orders from huge upcoming villa projects at Emirates Hills in Dubai, UAE.

Comtür’s turnover has grown each year and Gomaa expects to achieve excellent results next year in its domestic and foreign markets thanks to its new product lines. Over the past year, the company has also launched have also two new product lines: contemporary doors and exterior doors. To ensure its growth in each market, it places products that are suited to the taste and requirements of that particular market, he adds.

“The past year has been good with new developments having been made in technique, design and functional details to fulfil all requirements for each market, such as introduction of waterproof doors for the Middle East,” he concludes.
