AL NASSER Company, a leading supplier of electrical and lighting devices, has drawn up strategic plans with a view to targeting the huge projects in Saudi Arabia that are being launched on the buoyant market.
In a major step forward, the Saudi-based company has introduced its latest brand Noortek that will set new standards in high-efficiency lighting while being environment-friendly. Produced using the latest materials and advanced technology, this innovative solution promises ‘more light’ with fewer lighting fixtures, in turn reducing energy consumption.
Noortek has been developed with the help of world-class expertise from Europe and Saudi Arabia, by a team of professionals that is committed to setting new benchmarks in the lighting sector, according to a spokesman for the company.
“We selected Germany’s Dial to perform independent technical measurements, tests and data. Dial provided the data for use in Dialux to guarantee effective lighting performance and to ensure the suitability of the product,” says the spokesman.
“We took advantage of their European expertise that extends more than 20 years of experience in the field of designing and manufacturing lighting devices. Meetings were also conducted with large consultant offices to keep abreast of the latest trends,” he adds.
“The product reflects the prevailing trends and was born out of a need to offer the regional market a competitive local product with European specifications,” says the spokesman.
“Europe-based Kema tested the electrical safety of the luminaries and confirmed that all Noortek products meet standards such as IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and EMC (electromagnetic compatibility).
“We have acquired international quality certification for the factory’s entire product line from independent European labs such as Dial and Kema,” says the spokesman.
The Noortek factory, located in the Second Industrial Area in Riyadh, has been modelled on the latest European factories and is fitted with sophisticated lighting production lines. The facility, which is already operational, has been supplying products to various projects in Riyadh and Jeddah.
“We decided to set up Noortek in a bid to offer high-quality products at competitive products to serve major public and commercial projects,” he says.
Al Nasser Company conducts studies, and provides designs, technical and marketing support for lighting accessories, control and security systems that are designed for architectural applications.
One of Al Nasser key business policies is to build partnerships with specialised international and leading companies. “This provides the company with the required consulting services and technical support to support all its clients,” he says.
One of the company’s major partners is Berker, a leading German company with which Al Nasser has enjoyed a strong relationship for almost 25 years. Other partnerships have been established with Fermax and Salvi (Spain), Arcluce of Italy and other international companies.
As part of its future plans, the spokesman says, the company will also extend technical support to specialised consultants and real estate investment companies, besides organising seminars and conferences to increase product awareness in terms of selection based on quality and price.
In a move towards diversification, Al Nasser has also entered into various other sectors such as aluminium products, office furniture and electromechanical contracting.
Al Nasser has played a key role in implementing several major projects, the latest being the King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (Kaust) at Thuwal in Jeddah, the Saudi Land Forces building in Riyadh and the Development of King Abdulaziz Endowment Towers in Makkah.
