Bahrain Plumbing, which supplies a wide range of plumbing systems, PPR (polypropylene random) pipes, PVC, floor trips, grease/oil separators, soundproof pipes from a number of reputed companies, is promoting a range of plumbing solutions for conveying both potable and drainage water in the local market.
The company specialises in the supply of PPR pipes, which are widely used and have been specified for many prestigious projects in Bahrain as they are corrosion-resistant and have a life expectancy of 50 years. The company stocks a large inventory of PPR pipes from German manufacturer Banninger.
Two of its popular products include the PP-RCT (polypropylene-random-copolymer) pipes for potable water from Banninger and Skolandb soundproof pipe system for drainage lines from Ostendorf Kunstoffe of Germany.
The PP-RCT range of pipes, manufactured from Ronfit PP-R 80, has a high molecular weight and is highly heat-stabilised. Green in colour, these pipes are suited for the corrosive environment of the Middle East as they are non-reactive to the salty water and can also withstand the temperature fluctuations of the region, according a spokesman for the company. The pipes and the fittings are also easy to install and can be heat welded without the use of sealants, which makes fittings faster and long lasting as well.
The material is in compliance with the recommendations of KTW, the German Federal Public Health Department (BGA). Ronfit plastic pipes and fittings are registered within DVGW, the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water. These systems are suitable for sanitary installations, hot and cold water systems, heating plants, storm water systems, apparatus and plant construction, floor heating, greenhouses, indoor swimming pools, shipbuilding, hot springs, water treatment, compressed air lines, among others
“Made of PP-R 80, these plastic pipes and fittings offer a host of advantages and have proven value in all areas of industry and installation engineering for decades. Their excellent corrosion resistance guarantees a long-lasting service life of installation lines in the building services without any fear of some line damage,” says the spokesman.
The pipes, fittings and sealing elements in the Skolan db range are suitable for draining chemically-aggressive waste water in the range of pH2 to pH12, and also have excellent resistance to hot water in accordance with DIN 19560/DIN EN 1451 standards, he says.
Available in overall lengths of 150, 250, 500, 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 mm, Skolan is made of mineral-strengthened polypropylene (PP). The easy-to-handle, thick-walled pipes are sturdy and hardwearing and offer excellent soundproofing qualities, he adds.
“Both these products have generated a lot of interest locally,” says the spokesman,
Founded by Osama Al Thawadi in 1997, Bahrain Plumbing is renowned for its variety to pipes that can be used in a wide range of applications.
It product profile also includes HT-discharge pipes and fittings (PPS), KG discharge pipe system and fitting (PVC), PP-S pipes and fittings for drainage pipe systems, soundproof pipe systems, PP-R pipes and fittings and PE 100 (polyethylene) pipes for water supply.
“Over the past decade, we have gained a reputation as a quality-conscious supplier offering high safety standards and environmentally-friendly products to all our projects,” says the spokesman.
The company’s range of fittings has already supplied to some of the leading projects in the kingdom such as the Bahrain World Trade Centre, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Riffa Views, Durrat Al Bahrain villas, Al Areen Resort and Spa, Bahrain University campus, and AMA University, among others.
