Mammut Technocrete predicts busy times ahead for the company in the construction industry, having been awarded several high-profile projects since opening its factory in Dubai in the last quarter of 2005.

“Over the past year, we have witnessed impressive growth in terms of our output and projects in the UAE market and have played a leading role in the construction of some iconic projects such as the Ottoman Palace in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Waterfront, Sheikh Hamdan Race Course at Nad Al Sheba as well as the mega Al Ain development,” says Siamak Motemavelian, group marketing manager.
Mammut Technocrete, which claims to have one of the largest precast concrete production facilities in the world, is the latest business venture of the UAE-based Mammut Group. Among its most recent successes is a Dh620 million ($168.87 million) contract from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) for a water reservoir project. The contract entails construction, completion, testing and commissioning of some of the largest rectangular ground reservoirs in the world with a capacity of 60 million gallons each, he adds.
The company has an office and factory facility in Dubai Techno Park spread over an area of 250,000 sq m with 60,000 sq m of covered production area, It manufactures an extensive range of precast concrete products at its state-of-the-art fully automatic production facilities such as computerised mould-plotter, shuttering-robots, full automatic welding machines, computerized concrete distributor and curing chamber among others.
“When it comes to technology, we have always opted for the best software and the latest technologies. In fact, Mammut Technocrete is the world’s only company that combines new technologies of Sommer from Germany with the patented panel technology by TMCP from Canada,” he says.
Mammut Technocrete’s internal design department is equipped with the latest design software and its technology is tailor-made for the fully automated production facility, with information transferred directly from the internal design department to the computerised robots and plotters in the factory.
