Gulf Equipment & Technology (GET) has launched “the largest truck-mounted crane in the Middle East” in response to market demands for more sophisticated machinery for complex tasks.

The launch of the top-of-the-line Fassi 1500AXP marks GET's debut into the heavy truck-mounted crane market. Priced at little more than half a million dollars (BD200,000), the 33-tonne-capacity crane was completely assembled in Italy and then shipped to Bahrain.
“This extremely versatile machine is the largest truck-mounted crane in the Middle East,” says managing director Bassim Al Alawi. “Totally remote controlled, it has an insulated basket and can be used an access platform as well. The crane comes with as many as 13 extensions and can access the most difficult spots."
Designed for high-volume jobs, the F1500AXP boasts outstanding manoeuvrability and addition to its considerable power. The XP (extra power) system combined with the FX electronic control system acts on the crane’s hydraulic power supply, reducing manoeuvring speed to proportionally increase power and lifting capacity.
Also, a brand-new XF (extra fast) system delivers multifunctional crane operation combined with unrivalled speeds, according to Fassi.
The heavyweight was launched in response to market demand, says Al Alawi. "Jobs are getting larger and more intricate, towers are rising higher, while industries are becoming more complex, so there is an increasing need for sophisticated machines such as these.”
