Saudi Organization for the Industrial Cities and Technical Areas has awarded BOT (build, operate, transfer) water management contracts worth SR3 billion ($799.93 million) to The International Company for Water Distribution, Tawze’e.

Tawze’e, a 50/50 per cent joint venture between Amiantit and Cisco, will carry out the works over a 30-year period, the official signing for which is scheduled to take place sometime soon.
The first of the BOT contracts is for the operation, management and maintenance of water supply and sewage facilities in both the Second Industrial City in Riyadh and the First Industrial City in Qassim, in addition to supplying a sewage and industrial water treatment system.
The second BOT contract is for the operation, management and maintenance of water supply and sewage facilities in the First Industrial City in Jeddah.
