Global structural fittings manufacturer Kee Klamp Limited has opened a dedicated subsidiary company, Kee Klamp FZE in Dubai, to serve the region’s booming construction industry.
The move will provide customers with quicker and more decisive access to the company’s top-selling products, which are proven to eliminate the need for on-site welding or drilling in steel structure assembly, saving project time and cost, says a spokesman for the UK-based company.
Based in the Emaar Business Park and headed by general manager David Field, Kee Klamp FZE will supply contractors, architects, engineers and specifiers with the internationally-renowned range of Kee Klamp products and systems, which have made a major impact at the last two Big 5 exhibitions, he says.
These include Kee Klamp fittings for tubular structure assembly, the Kee Lite range of strong, lightweight and corrosion-resistant fittings and the BeamClamp and BoxBolt fixings, which are designed to secure secondary steelwork to primary steelwork in HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), civil engineering and general construction applications.
Kee Klamp FZE will have capacity to stock and supply products for prompt pick-up or delivery to site.
“Kee Klamp fittings are easy-to-use, galvanised malleable cast iron fittings for the quick and simple connection of pre-cut lengths of standard tubing to form guardrailing and many other types of tubular framework structure,” says the spokesman. “All fittings within the versatile Kee Klamp range incorporate an integral socket screw, which locks the fitting securely onto its tube to give an excellent slip load performance. The extensive range ensures that they can also cope easily with any changes in direction or gradient, and easily accommodate requirements for adapting or extending an existing structure.”
Manufactured from a high grade aluminium silicon magnesium alloy, Kee Lite fittings are ideal for exterior and interior applications, he continues. “Using these ultra-light fittings, architects, contractors and end-users can design and build, then change and extend tubular structures simply and cost-effectively. Even though the fittings are much lighter than conventional products, they will remain strong and durable throughout the lifetime of an installation. With their bright aluminium finish, unique contoured design and discreetly positioned set-screws, installations featuring these innovative Kee Lite fittings also benefit from a more aesthetically attractive finish,” the spokesman adds.
In providing a secure fixing of secondary to primary steelwork, BeamClamp fixings also remove the need for welding or on-site drilling.
Meanwhile, BoxBolt cavity fixings, part of the BeamClamp range, are a blind fixing solution for connecting steelwork into hollow sections or where access is only available from one side.
