Hilti, a Liechtenstein-based construction solutions provider, has just introduced into the market its new user-friendly, compact and extremely rugged PRI 2 rotating laser that promises to make interior finishing work a breeze.
Whether it is levelling, setting out or alignment work, the robustly-built Hilti PRI2 – which has been designed for indoor use – packs all the advantages of laser alignment into a compact tool for interior finishing. Its straightforward infrared remote control system speeds up all kinds of alignment and setting out jobs.
“No matter whether working in the horizontal, vertical or inclined planes, levelling suspended ceilings, setting out drywall partitions or transferring measurements and right angles, even inexperienced users will find that the PRI 2 gets the job done more accurately and saves time over and over again – all at the touch of a button,” says Sam Winkler, trade manager at the Hilti regional office based in Jebel Ali.
This exceptionally compact and sturdy tool with four convenient surrounding grips has been built to take the harsh conditions of everyday jobsite use in its stride. Thanks to the PRI 2’s all-round, 360-degree infrared receiving window, reliable communication with the control unit is ensured at all times. The remote control unit thus provides fingertip control of the rotating laser at distances of up to 30 m, from virtually anywhere in the room, even under unfavourable conditions. The rotating laser beam can also be switched to stationary line mode at the touch of a button, and the line shifted conveniently up or down, right or left very precisely – all by remote control – for even greater alignment accuracy and maximum efficiency, says Winkler.
Accurate & reliable
Like all Hilti rotating lasers, the PRI 2 features an automatic shock warning system and cut-out to prevent incorrect readings in the event of being knocked off level due to an impact or excessive vibration. Backed by a range of perfectly-matched accessories – such as the PRA 22 laser receiver for easy location of the rotating laser beam at distances up to 100 m, the PRA 77 laser receiver holder for attaching the receiver to a telescopic staff or other measuring staff, and the PRA 70/71 wall bracket or the PRA 76 slope adapter – the Hilti PRI 2 makes accurate alignment in all kinds of interior finishing work faster and easier than ever.
To ensure reliability and accuracy in accordance with standards and statutory requirements, Hilti recommends that laser measuring tools are checked regularly by the Hilti Calibration Service. A calibration certificate and date-stamped test sticker confirms conformance with the applicable specifications.
“Like all Hilti tools, the PRI 2 rotating laser comes complete with Hilti lifetime service completely free of charge for the first year from date of purchase – covering repair or replacement of defective parts, even wearing parts! After that, Hilti continues to prove the quality of its products by setting a repair cost limit – for the entire life of the product. That’s not just reassuring to know, it’s unique in this field,” Winkler comments.
