
Construction work is nearing completion on a golf club that will come up on an area of 650,000 sq m located at the Hunting and Equestrian Club along the 6th Ring Road in Kuwait.
This build, operate and transfer (BOT) project will be established over a 25-year period and once complete will include the following facilities:
• Golf course: The first grass golf course in Kuwait to feature a special grass called Paspalam, the course is developed to match international standards and will include 18-holes – of which nine will be used for night playing. The development will also boast adequate car bays with a capacity to accommodate 200 cars.
• Clubhouse: Is equipped with a fine dining restaurant, coffee shop and an open snack bar. It will also have meeting rooms and a golfers lounge.
• Health club: With separate facilities for men and women, it will have a massage parlour, steam and sauna rooms, and a beauty salon.
• Restaurants: Specialised restaurants to serve golfers and their guests.
• Chalets: This component of the club will feature 21 single and double-room chalets with private swimming pool.
In addition, the development will also feature a commercial mall, multipurpose hall, and an entertainment centre, says a spokesman.
