A new 45-storeyed twin tower building, to be built adjacent Sheraton Hotel complex, will reshape the Manama skyline and represent an important landmark in the capital, said Municipalities and Agriculture Minister Dr Mohammed Al Sitri.

The project, which will include a shopping mall and car park facilities to serve the area, has been re-zoned five times in order to adapt to special projects being drawn up for the capital.
The Bahraini firm AA Nass with South Africa’s Murray and Roberts Contractors (Middle East) have been awarded the construction contract for a massive expansion of the Sheraton Hotel complex.
The project, known as City Gardens – Commercial Development, involves the construction of the two towers with a built-up area of 25,000 sq m each.
The new expansion will be linked to the hotel and the Commercial Complex by a garden court.  The shopping mall area will also be extended by 17,000 sq m.  The construction contract will have a duration of two years.
The facility will offer parking slots for 1,600 cars in the basement as well as in a multi-storey car-park.
