Emirates Building Systems (EBS), a Dubai-based pre-engineered building manufacturer which commenced production in December 1997, has seen tremendous growth and now markets its products in 14 countries from Africa to the Far East.
The company specialises in institutional, commercial and industrial construction and at its state-of-the-art plant, it produces one of the finest steel building components in the Middle East.
"We started the company because there was a high demand for pre-engineering metal building/steel structures in the UAE, other Gulf states, Africa and the Indian subcontinent. We capitalised on this demand by providing quality products and services," says Kheirallah Karam, general manager.
EBS has been responsible for some of the landmark structures of Dubai and the other emirates. The projects include Oasis Centre, Jamil Fashions and Lulu Centre (near Al Mulla Plaza).
A multi-storey building is under construction for Dubai Investments (near Al Mulla Plaza) and another multi-storey building project for Emirates airlines is under design stage, says Karam.
"EBS has recently been awarded a major power project in Dubai," says Karam. The company has also undertaken prestigious projects in other countries. "We have been awarded a major shopping mall in Bahrain and Al Ghanim and Nass workshop and building in Kuwait. We have also shipped buildings to Egypt, Yemen, Sudan, Oman, Qatar, Sri Lanka and Vietnam."
Karam attributes the company's success to its attention to detail and quality." It is all due to the dedication of our staff, our technological edge, our owners and, of course, our customers without whom our success would never have happened."
At EBS each project receives the kind of attention that only the industry's best engineers, detailers and craftsmen can provide, he continues.
"EBS design procedures exceed even the strictest of international engineering guidelines. Its tailor-made drawings and documentation are generally regarded as the best in the industry," he claims.
"The EBS team has always been the prime asset of the company. The staff is one of the most skilled and experienced in the business. They are complemented by latest technology and equipment, using the most sophisticated software to design structures which are looked upon as models for others to follow," he says.
Production at EBS is fully automated and research has been its primary concern. The company's experienced project coordinators act as the sole point of communication throughout the construction cycle.
"In today's world where customers are demanding revolutionary designs with stable and reliable services it can be tough completing such tasks. For EBS, satisfying its customers come easy as its ultimate goal is client satisfaction.
"The confidence emanates from EBS' adherence to integrity, honesty and craftsmanship," he says.
As for the future, Karim says EBS is looking forward to even greater success and to be counted as an international leader in pre-engineered/structural steel technology/and products. "We want to further widen our customer-base and become a truly global company," he adds.
