Nabeel Al Siddiq Trading Services, a Saudi trader of faucets and other bathroom and kitchen accessories, is turning up the choice for its customers, having recently added products from five international manufacturers, including new lines of electronic faucets.

"We have recently introduced new product lines from five major European manufacturers - Haceka, Bossini, Keuco, Jorger and Hansgrohe - onto the market," says Hesham Al Siddiq, the general manager of the firm. "This means that our customers have more to choose from."

The Dammam-based trader, which has been in business for 37 years, also offers products from Delta Faucet Company of the US, Rigel of Singapore, ELEKS of Turkey, Kottmann of Germany and the Novelli Australian Company for Italian Products.

Delta faucets have been one of the Nabeel Al Siddiq's top-selling items, according to Al Siddiq. Elaborating on this US manufacturer, he says: "Delta Faucet Company is a subsidiary of Masco Corporation, one of the world's leading manufacturers of faucets, cabinets, architectural coatings, locks and other consumer brand-name, home improvement/building products and services.

Delta Faucet's flagship Delta brand delivers exceptionally well-made, stylish faucets and related kitchen and bath accessories that are both beautiful inside and outside. This market-leading product line features a unique combination of stylish looks and excellent quality, and is available in a wide variety of finishes.

"Delta Select provides high-end, distinctive styles and finishes that complement today's upscale kitchens and baths, while Peerless offers value-driven, proven designs that don't sacrifice style.

Delta offers the broadest line of beautifully engineered commercial faucets in the industry - all from a single source. Comprised of products from Delta, Delta Select, Delta HDF and Cambridge Brass series, Delta Commercial delivers an exceptional commercial faucet selection backed by the Delta name. Now available in Delta's exclusive Brilliance finish, the company's commercial products are protected by a five-year warranty.

The company's Delex Euroline, Delta Euroline, Delta Select Euroline and Synergy products offer a selection of styles, finishes and valving for discerning international consumers.

"In 1998, Delta revolutionised the faucet industry with the introduction of its patented Brilliance anti-tarnish finish. The first company to use physical vapour deposition (PVD) technology to create decorative finish options, Delta guarantees its Brilliance finishes for life to never tarnish, corrode or discolour.

"Revolutionising bath technology, Delta introduced a new category of shower products with its Monitor 1800 Series jetted shower system. Introduced in 2001, this next-generation shower features two jet modules that provide an enhanced showering experience and innovative valve design that allows plumbing contractors to install a jetted shower as easily as a regular shower or tub/shower combination.

"In 2001, Delta introduced the industry's first hands-free electronic faucet designed specifically for residential applications. Combining form and function with sleek design, the e-Flow faucet features above-counter temperature control and convenient hands-free activation, perfect for use throughout the home."

Moving on to some of the other manufacturers, Al Siddiq says: "Haceka is a Dutch firm that offers a comprehensive range of quality bathroom accessories including its unique and innovative design and style of Nuance, Thema and Iris collections.

"Bossini of Italy manufactures hand shower systems, accessories, and wall rods available in finishes from chrome to gold.

"Rigel Technology offers technology for intelligent washrooms that fits the modern lifestyle. Its product range includes sensor-operated WC and urinal flush valves, sensor taps, sensor hand-dryers, sensor soap dispensers and sensor water-closet closed couple cisterns. And its high-quality range of sanitary products includes sanitary ware, taps and fittings, washroom accessories, water coolers and manual flush valves. Quality is accredited to ISO 9001 in design, manufacturing, trading and servicing of sensor operated washroom products.

"Keuco, a specialist in architectural steel and glass, manufactures a range of accessories, mirror cabinets, lights and mirrors, and furniture.

"ELEKS is the export arm of Turkey's Elginkan Group, a diversified manufacturing giant whose products include fittings, sanitary ware, ceramic wall and floor tiles and bathroom accessories, and water heaters. It is said to be Turkey's number one exporter of cast iron bathtubs, and has obtained outstanding results in the sectors of ceramic sanitary ware and sanitary fittings.

"Since 1901, Hansgrohe has been one of the most innovative manufacturers within the sanitary field. This company has developed from a three-person operation to one of the leading manufacturers of showers mixers and bathroom equipment."

Nabeel Al Siddiq is well stocked with brands from these manufacturers to meet the requirement of all every customer, from average to the high-end, he says.

Among its line of faucets in stock are:

  • Delta's Brilliance, Select, Victorian and Antique models;

  • Haceka's Merano, Silence, Esperance, Laurea, Fiji, Aresso, Pallas, Nuance, LaRonde, Thema and Iris models;

  • Bossini's Prince-s, Patty and Nikita;

  • Hansgrohe's Axor Terrano stainless steel and Talis solid stainless steel; and

  • Jorger's Series 4, Muschel and Aphrodite.

    "For all these faucets, we offer a one-year guarantee and five-year guarantee on the cartridges. Delta's Brilliance is guaranteed for five years against factory defects," Al Siddiq says.

    Nabeel Al Siddiq is one of the leading vendors for Saudi Aramco, SEC (Saudi Electric Company) and Sisco, according to Al Siddiq. One of its recently executed prestigious projects was the installation of surgeon's scrub-up pedal-operated faucets at the Qatif Central Hospital.

    Last year, the trader opened a new showroom on King Abdul Aziz Street in Dammam, which has been receiving an 'encouraging response' from its customers. The company is set to open another new showroom in Al Khobar, which is currently being fitted-out, while two more showrooms are planned to be launched in Riyadh and Jeddah by end of this year.

    Business levels have been good for the company, which has a turnover of SR5 million ($1.33 million) to SR7 million. "In general, despite of the slowdown of global business, we have done well, especially in the field of faucet and bathroom accessories," he comments. "We are also looking at further boosting our range of kitchen, lavatory and bathroom faucets, showers and accessories to meet customer demands."

    In addition to supplying faucets and other water-related equipment, the company deals with chemicals, electrical items and spare parts, cables and safety equipment, serves as a wholesaler for food items and has outlets for watches and luxury items.
