The Beach Tower features an outstanding facade design.

A NEW beachfront project in the Saudi city of Jeddah is nearing completion with work ongoing on the exterior facades, elevators and electromechanical elements.

Located on the Northern Corniche in Jeddah, Beach Tower is a residential and commercial twin-tower complex consisting of 35 levels. The 6,000-sq-m tower enjoying a waterfront of 90 m, sports an outstanding façade design, said Raid Nofal, director of real estate sales and marketing at Anda for Trading and Investment Company, the general contractor for the project.

The project is designed to feature fully glazed facades from ceiling to floor and from wall to wall, allowing residents to enjoy the panoramic view, Nofal explained.

Other striking construction features of the project, which has adopted a full concrete structure with glass exterior cladding, include distribution of the concrete columns, flexibility of the internal partitions of the apartments and service and recreational areas with spectacular views.

Some of the distinct architectural aspects include a thermal- and acoustic-insulating glazing that has been used with interior finishes featuring marble floors, gypsum ceilings, European bathroom fixtures and luxurious Italian kitchen cabinets.

The tower features Carrier’s duct-split air-conditioning system facilitating easy maintenance and is energy sufficient.

Each tower, which has its own entrance and elevators to serve the occupants, consists of two apartments on each floor – one spanning an area of 270 sq m and the other, 430 sq m.

Four levels have been allocated for private parking and another basement level has been allocated for additional parking space.

The project includes a number of recreational services and facilities such as health clubs for men and women, a ballroom, a nursery dedicated to the residents, a children’s swimming pool, barbecue areas, a walking track, and family lounges in the backyard.

The tower features elevators from Hyundai, a fire alarm and fire extinguishing systems as well as a water desalination plant and purification plant, with a spare generator.

The consultant on the project is Talal Kurdi Consultants while Mohamed Harasani Architects is the designer.

Electromechanical and Technical Associates Company has been tasked with the electromechanical works, and National Aluminium Factory Company (Nafco) with aluminium and glass works.
