TRELAWNY will be putting the spotlight on its new collection featuring a highly developed and engineered redesign of the TCG250 when it showcases its range of surface preparation equipment at bauma next month.
These heavy-duty single disc floor grinders are divided into two categories: entry level, which accepts a range of cutting media such as carborundum blocks, scarifier heads and wire brushing; and a ‘Rapid’ model, with high-performance diamond technology.
“The latter design has been reached through research from our Middle East representatives for concrete reduction and the removal of unwanted residue,” says a spokesman for the UK-based company.
The main improvement is the re-engineered body, which has revised it from a square form to a circular one, making it possible to get within 20 mm of an edge, thus allowing more accurate work and a higher rate of precision, he says. An improved dust control with a brush seal around the rim of the body, further allows air to flow through while keeping the dust contained. Emissions are reduced by up to 40 per cent when used with a Trelawny dust collector. In addition, for wet grinding applications, the TCG250 features a liquid injection system, ensuring adequate water supply around the grinding head, even at low delivery pressures.
The new parking stand protects the rubber drive coupling and grinding head when hot, to prevent deformity when in direct contact with the floor after use. This stand also allows for easy starting and warm-up of the petrol engine model. The floating front skirt is protected when the tool is parked on the stand, as it keeps it raised and intact. Suitable for civil and major concrete project work, the floating skirt has an adjustable height for varying floor levels, thus allowing high spot removal with minimum effort.
The redesign also has vibration reduced mounts in order to protect the user from any HAVS (hand-arm vibration syndrome)- related injuries, thus broadening the range of high-quality Trelawny Vibro-Lo tools.
Trelawny can be visited at Stand A1 128 at bauma.
