THE Al Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG) confirmed it has been awarded a contract worth Dh701.5 million ($191 million) to complete Daman’s Buildings by Daman project in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Developer Daman had announced that HLG had been placed as preferred contractor in May.

HLG said it has started moving full steam ahead on the project and has already got a large team on site. Completion is expected in December next year.

The project features three towers – a 20-storey office block, a 60-storey hotel, and a 60-storey apartment block. HLG will take over from Oger Dubai, which has been working onsite since December 2005.
