
Vision Electro Mechanical Company, a subsidiary of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), has signed a SR1.31 billion ($346 million) deal, involving the construction of a landmark university. The sub contract, the second with Saudi Binladin Group, the main contractor for Princess Noura Bint Abdurrahman Girls University, Riyadh, involves provision of various electrical and mechanical installations in the construction of the building.
Dr Faysal Alaquil, business development director, said: “About 4,000 engineers, technicians and workers from Vision will work on the project that involves a total land area of 4 million sq m, including a 963,548 sq m-complex featuring administrative and faculty buildings, as well as a residential area for students and staff, a commercial mall, recreation and sports centres, security and logistics facilities.”
According to him, the project will be completed in 24 months.
