Al Hamra ... 77 storeys.

KUWAIT’S Al Hamra tower has touched 358 m in height with only 15 m left for it to exceed the 372-m-tall Al Tahrir tower and become the tallest building in Kuwait.

Khaled Al Othman, chief executive officer of the Al Hamra real estate firm, said the tower will stand 412 m tall on completion with 54 m remaining to complete this 77-storey building.
Work on the facade will gather pace, says Al Othman, as three elevations of the building are glass-clad. The fourth, southern facade overlooks the capital Kuwait City, and is clad in natural stone.  Most electromechanic extensions and finishing touches to the tower as well as the operation of 22 of the 41 elevators will be completed in the summer of this year.
Besides this, landscaping design has been completed. Five bridges will be built soon to facilitate access between the multi-storey car-park and the tower or the mall.
