Saudi Arabia-based Gulf Co-operation Symbols Constru-ction Company (GCS) – part of the Sadeen Group – is currently on a mission to develop into a leading building service provider in Saudi Arabia.

“Our company, which specialises in civil, pre-engineered buildings, earthworks, general infrastructure and maintenance services, has recently completed a SR40 million ($10.66 million) contract within just five months for the temporary construction facilities (TCF) for an NGL recovery plant at Hawiyah in Saudi Arabia with Snamprogetti as the client and Saudi Arabian Oil Company as the owner,” says Hani Salah, chairman and CEO of the Sadeen Group.
'This was followed by two contracts valued at SR46 million with Tecnicas Reunidas Gulf for the construction of temporary camp facilities and services at Hawiyah gas plant expansion, which will be completed within three months,” he explains.
Some of the other multi-million-dollar projects in its portfolio include the construction of a 500-bed Minah General Hospital, located in Makkah for the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia as well as a facility for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Saudi Ambassador at Amman, Jordan – both of which will be completed within a couple of months.
The Jordan-headquartered Sadeen Group has also recently signed an agreement to represent a Chinese construction company in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and shortly in Jordan and Oman. This collaboration will aim to develop, market, operate and maintain selected properties and projects on behalf of the Chinese firm.
As part of its expansion plans, the group is currently developing one of its landmark projects, the Sadeen Amman Hotel and Suites.
The group comprises of several business establishments located in the Middle East such as Q-Sadeen Company for Contrac-ting in Doha in Qatar; Jo-Sadeen for Contracting, Sadeen Amman for Housing, Sadeen Rent a Car, Sadeen Tourism and Holidays and Arabian Sadeen for Real Estate and Investment all in Amman, Jordan as well as the Gulf Co-operation Symbols Contracting Company in Al Khobar.
