United Ready Mix, set up by Six Construct in association with UDC – the developer of the Pearl-Qatar, is expected to start operations shortly.

The batching plant will initially supply concrete for the Pearl Qatar development, where temporary quay walls are being built to facilitate unloading of raw materials. The plant will have a capacity of 700,000 to 1 million cu m of concrete per year.
“These plants are being set up to make sure our clients get readymix at the right quality and at the right time,” says United Ready Mix general manager Jan Slange. “We have a total of three plants, one will produce 120 cu m of concrete per hour, while the other two will supply an additional 180 cu m each per hour. In total, production will be more than 75,000 cu m per month.”
