Belgium-based TVH (Group Thermote & Vanhalst) – a leading manufacturer of lift trucks and a range of construction equipment – has recently expanded its product offering with the addition of a fleet of used access equipment and also strengthened its sales network, thus enabling the company to offer quality services to its clients across the globe.

“At TVH, we understand the importance of sound knowledge and how it can positively influence the business of supplying powered access equipment and services,” says Sanjoy Roy Choudhury of TVH Middle East. “The Middle East is a huge region with such a vast variety of clients and organisations which benefit from access equipment and we need to be fully aware of their needs and requirements to service them properly.”
To enhance its presence in the region, the company has recently set up an operational base in the UAE that will cater to the needs of its clients across the GCC countries.
“From our office in the Sharjah International Free Zone, we offer techno-commercial solutions and personalised services in coordination with TVH Belgium,” says Choudhury.
“What differentiates us from our competition is that we are not in the business of merely selling the equipment, we also provide complete solutions along with technical support,” he points out.
He adds: “TVH’s fleet offers a range of products and types of equipment. The company’s range of powered access equipment offers temporary aerial access in a whole range of applications, making it ideal for many operations including construction, sign erection, outside broadcasting, industrial and building maintenance, telecommunications, forestry and highway maintenance.
“The boom lifts provide access to the most difficult overhead work positions, offering height and, more importantly outreach, and together with the articulating booms it offers an up-and-over capability. The scissor lifts offer vertical access with limited outreach whilst providing a large work platform for men and materials capable of sustaining high payloads.
“Even the TVH website offers a very user-friendly search engine that allows customers to select by type, brand, operational height and motor/engine.”

Fleet management
“With a comprehensive fleet of powered access equipment, TVH is continually updating and expanding in order to provide the best in machine availability and performance. Parts support
TVH has parts available for most well-known brands, including Genie, Grove, Haulotte, JLG, SkyJack and Upright, among others. The group has focused its efforts on the continual upgrading and expansion of its stock of available spare parts for the convenience of its customers. There are already more than 150,000 known references in stock that includes some of the commonly sold brands.
“At TVH, we appreciate the importance of speed in the delivery of spare parts for the customer, as the longer a part takes in reaching the destination the longer would be the down-time of the equipment. That’s the reason why we try to ensure spares of access equipment can be delivered fairly quickly, so clients can achieve greater benefits. Besides the brand-related spares, there are many parts that can be used on different types and brands, joysticks, contactors, level sensors and solenoids,” says Choudhury.
