Construction equipment giant Caterpillar has introduced the K Series Tooth System, which represents a multitude of improvements over previously available ground engaging tools.

The new tips can be changed in roughly half the time it takes to change out other styles. “A unique ‘twist-on’ procedure not only makes installation easier, safer and quicker, it reduces tip movement and allows the tip to grip the adapter tighter the harder it digs into tough materials. This reduces tip vibration and loosening,” says the company.
K Series is available with 11 tip options (penetration plus, general duty, extra duty, penetration, wide, double spike, spike, heavy penetration, heavy abrasion and two abrasion resistant material versions) to provide an option for any application requirement.
