French water heater specialist Atlantic says that its new innovative line of heaters, the O’ Pro range, would stand the test of time in the aggressive environment of the Middle East.
“Our range of products is specially designed to meet the specifications and needs of the Gulf region,” says a company spokesman.
“Using high quartz density enamel (glass-line) and applying a single, even enamel coat layer, we warranty the best quality tanks to our users,” he says.
Anti-corrosion techniques are also used to protect smaller parts such as flanges. “We provide all our water heaters with a double-lip rubber joint gasket, covering both parts of the metal in its weakest parts, thus reducing the risk of contact between metal and water.
“These extra protections are not visible to the naked eye, but make a vital difference when water heaters are installed in areas where water is aggressive.
“Apart from top quality enamelling and double-lip gasket joint, our glass-lined water heaters are provided with a new innovative concept, the O’ Pro system, which has been developed to meet the demands of end-users and builders,” says a company spokesman.
Explaining how the system works, he says: “O’ Pro stands for ‘ohmic protection’ as the water heaters have ohm resistors connected to the immersion heating element. It balances equally the protection of the magnesium anode between the element and the tank, thus increasing the magnesium anode’s life by 50 per cent.
“This ensures that corrosion inside the tank is minimised and that the heater lasts longer.
We also provide our glass-lined water heaters with a dielectric union to be installed on the hot water tube. This prevents premature corrosion due to galvanic couple between the steel outlet and the copper pipe.
“The O’ Pro range includes vertical and horizontal water heaters in capacities ranging from 15 to 200 litres,” he adds.
“Atlantic O’ Pro water heaters have a five-year warranty for the tank and a two-year warranty for the electric parts. After-sales support is provided by the company’s local agent in each GCC state,” he adds.
Atlantic, which started operation in 1968, is recognised as a leader in Europe for water heaters and room heaters. With more than one million water heaters manufactured in its factories every year, Atlantic provides the largest range of water heaters (from 15 to 3,000 litres capacity) on the market to cover the needs of the building sector.
“We have grown in size to employ 2,500 people and we generate an annual turnover of $450 million,” says the spokesman. “We have seven manufacturing facilities in France (three of which are dedicated to water heaters) and we always strive for the highest production standards.”
“With more than 60 per cent of the market share in France – the biggest market for electrical products in Europe – Atlantic is recognised by professionals as the leading expert in water heating in Europe,” he continues.
“Constant innovation and top quality products have always been a priority for the company’s research and development (R&D). Some 2.5 per cent of the turnover is dedicated to R&D,” the spokesman concludes.
