A fully refurbished Radisson SAS Hotel will soon be the latest attraction in Riyadh.
“Part of the renovation, involving a total of SR65 million ($17.3 million), is already complete and is open to the public,” said Maarten van den Nieuwenhuysen, general manager.
The interior of the 317-roomed Radisson SAS Hotel, Riyadh, starting with the lobby, was completely redesigned with black marble and a stainless steel mesh to give customers a feel of modernity and luxury. In addition to the existing range of room styles, a modern approach has been adapted by including Andalusian, Italian and Scandinavian-styled rooms.
To uphold the local traditions and sensibilities, a ladies café has been built for private gatherings and also for those who want to enjoy solitude and relaxation in an atmosphere of elegance.
“While we have undertaken to refurbish this hotel, and do away with the bland façade associated with the traditional look, our core values and concepts will continue to provide value-added services to all our clients, whether they are business or leisure travelers,” said Nieuwenhuysen.
The renovated hotel will include six new state-of-the-art meeting rooms fitted with Scandinavian wooden panels to give them a fresher look. These rooms can be configured to accommodate the individual needs for any seminar or business meeting.
“Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest-growing markets for Radisson SAS and the current extensive renovations will give the hotel a fresh new look with added amenities that will be a positive addition to the hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia,” he said.
