Sudanbuild to focus on infrastructure

Sudan, which has embarked on a programme to carefully strengthen its infrastructure, will demonstrate its keenness to accelerate the construction sector at the forthcoming Sudanbuild 2004 – second International Construction Technologies and Building Materials Fair.

This fair will cover  a 10,000 sq m area, spread over four halls and an open area of 1,500 sq m. On show will be building materials, infrastructure projects, construction machinery and tools, electric and electronic equipment and technology, and heating, refrigeration, ventilation and sanitation technology.
The fair, will be open for professional visitors in the first two days and open to public during the following three days.
The fair – organised by Forum Fairs and Promotions company and to be held at the Khartoum International Fair Area from December 15 to 19 – is supported by Internationaler Messe und Ausstellungsdienst (Imag) of Germany; Sudan Free Zones and Markets Company of Sudan; GOIEF, a subsidiary of the Egyptian Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade; Syrian International Marketing Association (Sima); Iran International Exhibition Company (IIEC); and the Jeddah International Exhibition Company (JIEC).
The fair is also supported by the ministries related with investment in the 26 states of Sudan.
According to Bilgin Aygul, the general director of Forum Fairs and Promotions Company, the fair will constitute a common platform for investors and buyers.
