Michael Weinig of Germany has recently launched a new concept moulder, which is claimed to be revolutionary and unique, to boost its comprehensive range of moulders.
"This innovation keeps the firm well ahead technically of all other manufacturers in the solid wood linear moulding sector - it is the future direction for linear profile moulding," says a company spokesman.
Its existing range is well proven and the machines are the automatic choice of most quality manufacturers, he claims. The smaller companies in joinery and furniture usually choose the Quattromat 23 P or the Profimat 23 E; and the larger manufacturers, who require faster throughput, choose the Unimat 23 E and the Hydromat models. Each moulder has a wide selection of extras which are said to suit virtually every workshop requirement.
Outlining the features of the new moulder, the spokesman says: "The new machine is the Unimat 3000 'Brilliant'. It is, in fact, a highly-efficient 'Profile Centre'. Weinig's main objectives have always been to produce machines that make their customers more competitive. Today's requirements are for fast, rational and flexible production. The Unimat 3000 Brilliant is extraordinarily well-suited to meet all demands. It can increase the production capacity by a factor of four or higher, reduce production costs by up to 60 per cent, and produce the same excellent quality at double the machining speed. Reduction in set-up time of up to 90 per cent ensures a highly-efficient machine running time.
"Weinig has invested heavily in customer after-sales service, to ensure it is a dependable partner in business, offering a back-up service to ensure that the customer's machine is in constant production throughout the working day."
"'You can't beat a specialist', they say. And Weinig is the largest specialist moulder manufacturer in the world," the spokesman adds.
