ELBA of Germany has introduced with its new EBC range an experience-orientated concrete mixing plant concept with production performances between the common hourly capacity of 80 and 120 cu m/h of fresh vibrated concrete.

The new economic range replaces its EMC range to meet the demands of today's construction industry, says a company spokesman.

"One thing that has not changed is the EMS mixing system with three mixer sizes offered - 1,650, 2,000 and 2,500 litres," he says.

The first EBC plants are already working in Egypt and France.

Describing the most important technical characteristics of the mixing plant, the spokesman says: "The machines incorporate the Elba linear bin for storage and batching of aggregates. It allows alternative feeding of mixer with a skip hoist or inclined conveyor belt with an intermediate storage hopper."

It also provides:

  • Alternative installation of proven Elba mixers EMS 1650, EMS 2000 and EMS 2500 suitable for preparation of concrete with maximum grain size up to 150 mm;

  • Alternative installation of air bag or suction filter to assure volume compensation between mixer and cement weigher and for de-dusting of the plant;

  • Fully electronic weighing equipment for aggregates, cement, water and additives;

  • Control system, preferably placed in a separate control container; and

  • Alternative housing consisting of pre-installed profile steel frames. One can choose between single metal sheeting or insulation covering.

    The benefits of EBC range include:

  • Short mounting times;

  • Easy access to all components to facilitate service and maintenance works; and

  • Easy and value-for-money equipment with additional options.
