THE Building Materials Division of Swaidan Trading Company offers a wide range of surfacing materials from Wilsonart International, a leading decorative laminate producer in North America with a market share of over 45 per cent in the US.
Founded in 1956, Wilsonart provides the most versatile and innovative products, according to Swaidan Trading.
"Laminate is what Wilsonart's reputation was built upon," says a spokesman for Swaidan Trading. "Over the years, the company has developed a wide range of trendy colours, designs, options and upgrades. It now leads the way in related surfacing options as well.
Speciality laminates, solid surfacing and flooring are just a few of the new value-added product lines Wilsonart now offers. Swaidan Trading's Building Materials Division fabricates, supplies and installs the following products from Wilsonart:
"Wilsonart laminates do not just include regular laminates but have performance laminates - which are fire-rated and chemical-resistant to suit different needs," he says. It also custom make design on the laminates to the choice of interior designers.
"This 100 per cent acrylic material, solid surface is becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to granite and marble and can be used for kitchen tops, bathroom counters, worktops, hospital counters and other areas where aesthetics, hygiene and water resistance are the key factors. This product is offered in two thicknesses, 13 mm and 3 mm. While the 13 mm is offered by other companies in the UAE, the introduction of 3 mm thickness has widened the usage of the material in areas where light weight is required," says the spokesman.
Wilsonart Gibraltar solid surface has been already used in many projects in the UAE such as Emarat and EPPCO stations, fast-food outlets and residential towers. Solid surface tops are fabricated at Swaidan's well equipped fabrication unit at Dubai and the company is capable of handling turnkey jobs as well.
