Sharjah-based Wave Tech Computers provided a full-structure cabling system on six floors of the Al Shoala Complex.
"We provided R&M Freenet from Reichle & De-Massari AG Switzerland, one of the leading companies offering a range of advanced connectivity systems," says Ahmed Faour, managing director of Wave Tech. "We have provided a full-structure cabling system taking care of both voice and data."
Outlining details of the cabling system, he says: "The system comprises of a major main distribution frame (MDF) room located in the basement and ground floors of the complex. There are three intermediate distribution frame (IDF) rooms distributed in all the floors connected to the MDF room with fibre optic as the backbone. Horizontal runs of the data cable are CAT5e 125 mhz, taking into consideration future expansion.
" The advantage of this system is the network can be controlled from a single point. We also offer a 20-year product warranty and lifetime application warranty as well as flexibility in using voice and/or data."
