Crawford, which claims to be the world's leading manufacturer of overhead doors, has been established in the Middle East since 1977 undertaking local manufacture, sales, installation and service from its Sharjah office. The company has distributors in Oman, Qatar and Bahrain. In addition, there is a manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia.
The company supplied four industrial doors for the Al Shoala Complex under an order worth Dh50,000 ($13,625).
Crawford Door, part of the Swedish Cardo Door Group, is a leading manufacturer of doors for industrial and private use. It has a presence in 24 countries with its main markets being Europe, the Middle East and Far East.
Crawford's main product is the Insulated Sectional Overhead Door that disappears beneath the ceiling when opened, thereby giving the users completely free wall and floor areas around the door opening. It can be supplied for electrical or manual operation, with or without windows and in a variety of colours.
Highlighting some of the main products offered by Crawford, a company spokesman says: "Megadoor is a special door, designed for highly-demanding environments and large door openings such as aircraft hangars or shipyards.
"Econoroll is a roller door designed for areas requiring high-speed door operation. Crawford Docking System is a highly efficient and rationalised solution for the handling of goods at storage and distribution terminals.
"A docking system consists of dock levellers, dock shelters and loadhouse. Every product is produced in order, having its individual dimensions, colours and other features.
"Crawford also produces residential garage doors in various designs."
"Crawford's fully trained service staff is available 24 hours a day for maintenance and emergency repairs," he adds. "All Crawford products can be covered by a service contract, which assures smooth operation and optimum usage."
Some of the projects the company has been involved with include model homes for Emirates Hills, Dubai Cargo Village, Al Ramool Warehouses and several villas in Midrif.
