Abu Dhabi-based Specialized Architectural Systems (SAS) is the sole agent for Australian-made Pioneer water tanks in the UAE and Gulf region and is now looking to appoint distributors for these products throughout the Middle East.

"We have been successfully marketing and selling Pioneer water tanks over the past eight years," says a company spokesman.

Pioneer water tanks are made of bolted and V-lock corrugated, anti-corrosion Zincalume steel panels.

Water is stored in a one-piece, fibre-reinforced polyethylene liner rated for storage of drinking water.

Elaborating on the tanks, he says: ''Pioneer water tanks are designed to withstand tough weather conditions and are manufactured in compliance with stringent Australian standards to ensure reliability and long service life.

''Ease of transportation and installation, design flexibility, cost-effectiveness and the variety of sizes available have made Pioneer water tanks one of the best water storage systems available on the market today.

"The tanks are ideally suited for many applications, including potable water, desalination, irrigation and fire-water holding tanks.

''Our clients include - but are not limited to - municipalities, dairy and poultry farms, stables, irrigation and landscaping contractors, camp operators and owners, ready-mix cement plants and others.''

Pioneer water tanks are supplied in a range of capacities from 5,000 up to 250,000 gallons. Although the standard height of the tanks is two rings (2.15 m), this could be increased up to eight rings high to allow more capacity for a given diameter in areas where space is limited, he adds.

Specialized Architectural Systems maintains several sizes of these tanks at its warehouses in Abu Dhabi to cater for immediate water storage requirements.

''SAS also has experienced installation supervisors ready to mobilise to any destination where water tanks are to be installed,'' the spokesman concludes.
