Kooheji Development, one of Bahrain’s leading real estate companies, has launched its latest mixed-use project Onyx SkyView, a distinctive architectural landmark comprising three interlocking towers that will grace the horizons at Bahrain Bay in the heart of the capital.
Strategically positioned opposite the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain, the towers will soar to height of 200 m and create a unique visual signature with their staggered balconies that offer expansive bayside views from the residential apartments.
Onyx SkyView is the second Kooheji Property to dot the skyline of Bahrain Bay, after the iconic Onyx Bahrain Bay which is now receiving its finishing touches.
Speaking to Gulf Construction, Kooheji Development’s CEO Engineer Mohamed Abdulghaffar Al Kooheji says: “Driven by our vision to create inspiring living experiences and banking on our intensive in-house capabilities, we have ventured to announce the ultra-luxury mixed-use development project – Onyx SkyView project.
“By achieving the soon-to-be-delivered Onyx Bahrain Bay as we launch yet another landmark project, Kooheji Development is demonstrating its commitment to raising the bar higher in luxury real estate development to meet the aspirations of individuals wishing to own prestigious and unique assets where they can live, work, and enjoy Bahrain’s most prestigious address, Bahrain Bay.”
“Onyx SkyView will be an engineering marvel, a distinguished architectural mass in terms of shape and colour. The distinctive architectural blocks of the tower reflect Kooheji’s brand architectural spectrum through its three different exterior cladding colours,” he says.
Kooheji Development has teamed up with Bahrain’s leading architectural and engineering firm Mohamed Salahuddin Consulting Engineering Bureau (MSCEB) to create this striking mixed-use project, which has been designed to high architectural standards.
Featuring a grand main entrance facing the Four Seasons hotel, the complex spreads over an area of 108,000 sq m and comprises luxury residences, offices as well as an attractive retail unit along the two sides of the project. The 53-level skyscraper boasts 435 ultra-luxury residences, 40 offices, and seven retail units. The offices are accommodated over 10 floors with four offices per floor.
The ground-breaking will be held this month (January) and the construction work will be carried out over several phases, with the project targeted for completion in December 2027.
The spacious and ultra-luxury residences at Onyx SkyView are a carefully curated collection of studio, one-, two- and 3.5-bedroom apartments combining distinctive design, and inspired lifestyle inclusions in the best layouts and space planning within the Kooheji Development residential towers portfolio.
The floor-to-ceiling windows of the residences offer panoramic views of Bahrain’s skyline from the bedrooms and living spaces. New classic wooden flooring designs, cool stone finishes and panelled walls bring a natural touch to balance the impact of the expansive glazing. The spacious floor plans can meet various customers’ preferences and can be easily configured into a range of different requirements. In addition, optional and extra interior design packages will also be available to buyers.
Onyx SkyView will be nestled in spacious grounds complete with architectural terraces of green outdoor spaces and feature dedicated residents-only amenities in a double-height indoor floor as well as outdoors over a 3,800-sq-m area. These resort-style indoor and outdoor amenities include active and passive entertainment activities zones, such as an indoor multipurpose hall, VIP lounge, café, cinema theatre, women’s and men’s gymnasiums, play areas as well as outdoor water features including levelled decks with iconic waterfall cascades between pools as well as fitness areas with lap infinity pool, dynamic splash pads, and a lazy river surrounded by fire pit spots for the cozy family barbecue gathering.
The building will be served by eight elevators and feature four car-parking levels and two basement floors offering a total 700 car-parking slots.
The mixed-use development also benefits from close proximity to major shopping malls and is within walking distance of the buzzing life of Bahrain Bay.
“The island is a focal point of Bahrain’s food and leisure sector and is already playing host to the Bahrain Food Festival as well as an assortment of touristic cafés, restaurants and retail locations,” Engineer Al Kooheji remarks. “The district is also home to The Avenues mall, The Park and The Wharf, as well as hotels like the Four Seasons, which is 300 m away. Bahrain Bay’s Sensory Garden – a self-contained garden area that allows visitors to enjoy a wide variety of sensory experiences that stimulate the senses – is at the doorstep of Onyx Skyview.”
