TWO bridge projects for accommodating roads and railway tracks linking mainland Kuwait and the island of Bubiyan are 95 per cent completed, the country’s Minister of Public Works and State Minister for Planning and Development, Dr Fadhel Safar has revealed.

The bridges will link the island to the northern desert area Subiya and will transport passengers and goods as part of the country’s state development plan, he said during an inspection tour of the project.

The ministry also plans to implement a series of ambitious projects on the island, including residential facilities, an airport and a railway station.
