A RESIDENTIAL CAMPUS for the Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University (PMU) in Al Khobar has been approved by Prince Mohammad bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the governor of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Prince Mohammad, who is also the chairman of the private university’s board, gave the go-ahead for the project for which he has donated 140,000 sq m of land.

The residential campus will accommodate as many as 2,000 students, faculty members and supporting staff.

The campus will offer its residents an integrated lifestyle with a mosque, schools, shops, gardens and parking, recreational and support services, all located within the facility.

PMU rector Dr Issa Al Ansari said the residential campus would be built using the highest quality materials and adopt “excellent modern architectural design”.

The project will help spread the PMU’s culture of diversity and enrich the lives of its residents, he added.
