SAUDI ARABIA’S Raghadan Paints says its new premium coatings have been well received by the market following successful promotions at building materials and interior décoration exhibitions in the kingdom.

The company has also boosted its stature by winning Green Seal certification early this year, says a company spokesman, adding that  the GS-11 certificate sets down environmental requirements for paints and coatings, including low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

The new coatings include Silverguard, Silicon Tex, Polo, Velvet, Granito, Graviato Décor and Aqua Gold and Silver.
Detailing their characteristics, he says: “Silverguard is a multi-purpose water-based anti-microbial topcoat that is very effective against the growth of bacteria, fungus and algae.

“Silicon Tex is a premium decorative and protective acrylic-silicon finish providing excellent water repellency combined with maximum water vapour permeability, and its anti-humidity properties help it withstand harsh climatic conditions.

“Polo is a chromatic-effect decorative interior finish which uses special pearlescent pigments to give a rough metallic appearance with a truly pearl-like, sandy effect, while Velvet is an decorative interior finish with a smooth, soft effect and a suede-like touch.

“Granito is an exterior and interior textured coating that uses special acrylic polymers to create a granite effect with sparkling crystals, while Graviato Décor is a multi-colour textured coating based on acrylic and special quartz, intended for exterior application by trowel.

“And Aqua Gold and Silver are water-based gold and silver paints for  both interior and exterior decorative applications.”

Raghadan Paints provides Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region with the latest decorative paints in collaboration with leading international players such as Akzo Nobel of Holland, Kansai Paint Company of Japan and San Marco of Italy.
