THE Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has awarded a Dh307.36-million ($83.7 million) contract to construct Phase Four of Al Khail Road Improvement Project in Dubai.
The project will replace the existing roundabout at the intersection of Al Khail Road and Umm Suqeim Road by a multi-level interchange to provide a free traffic flow in all directions, besides widening Al Khail Road from four to six lanes.
Due to the massive nature of Al Khail project, the RTA has divided the project into six phases. Work is currently under way on the first three phases at a total cost of Dh1.8 billion ($490 million).
