EMIRATES Glass’ (EGL) new Dh100-million ($27.2 million) glass coating line, which is currently in the commissioning stage, is poised to go online next month. The state-of-the-art coating line is part of an overall expansion programme worth Dh175 million which includes its new headquarters and will see the company relocate its entire operations to the Dubai Investments Park.
The glass coating line, the Terra G machine, is set to boost the company’s current production capacity threefold up to 3.7 million sq m of various types of coated glass per year, according to EGL, a leading architectural flat glass processor and a Dubai Investments subsidiary.
