G STYLE, a leading Greek manufacturer of stainless steel products catering to the cosmetic, hygienic and safety needs in the private or public bathroom, has received an enthusiastic response to its new Bright mirror collection and its complete bathroom accessories and equipment for the disabled at the recently-held Big 5 show in Dubai.
At the show, the company presented a wide range of products including bathroom accessories, mirrors, water screening elements, and public washroom equipment.
Speaking to Gulf Construction, managing director of G Style Andreas Giannaros says: “Bright is our new range of mirrors with lighting elements. It is an all-in-one solution suitable for hotels, houses and public washrooms.”
The mirrors are available in two options — with or without frames — and in a variety of sizes, designs and lamp powers.
Another interesting element of the company’s exhibit at the show was a complete bathroom accessories and equipment solution for the disabled, which was also a crowd-puller.
“Our bathroom equipment for the elderly and physically challenged, which is especially designed for their safety and convenience, generated keen interest, especially from the hospitality industry. In the recent past, we have supplied this collection to various projects in the region, including the Dubai Healthcare City,” Giannaros says.
The collection includes a wide variety of grab bars, shower seats and tilting mirrors, offering a complete solution in any installation environment.
Established in 1968, G Style’s portfolio includes a variety of design, from budget to the high-end luxurious segment. The company offers eight different series in its bathroom accessories collection. Some of these include Knossos, which has a simple design that matches all design environments and installations; Poseidon, which has a classic design that matches vintage-style taps and sanitary ware; Elegance, a modern design series ideal for hotels; Excelsior, a high-end range for luxurious settings; Swing, a very modern and minimalistic design range of accessories; and Universal, a range of accessories that can complement any of the above series.
G Style says its products are designed according to modern specifications for safety and ergonomics using the highest quality AISI 304 stainless steel, to achieve three basic goals — quality, durability and being free of maintenance.
Commenting on the superior qualities of stainless steel as an anti-corrosion and durable material, Giannoaros says: “As is well known, stainless steels are high-alloy steels that have superior corrosion resistance than other steels because they contain large amounts of chrome.”
However, how does stainless steel bathroom fittings compare with chrome-plated brass fittings, as both have chrome on their surface? Very favourably, according to him. He explains: “The difference between the two is that stainless steel is a chrome-based alloy while chrome-plated brass items have a micro chrome surface. With standard usage and wear this micro chrome surface is destroyed.”
The company lays a great emphasis on ensuring that the high-quality stainless steel it uses doesn’t lose any of its properties during the production process. He elaborates: "Firstly, we do not use welding in our production process, as the heat from welding alters the modular structure of stainless steel, making it more vulnerable to rust. Hence, all our products are assembled either with stainless steel screws or through mechanical deformation.
“At the same time, all our manufacturing processes are cold processes; we do not use any heat treatment at all, as heat treatments again tend to alter the structure of the metals and affect the natural protection of stainless steel.”
The company’s entire range of products is available in stainless steel bright polish, “which requires one of the most difficult processes when working with stainless steel. As a result, what we are essentially offering is a stainless steel product that has the same look as a chrome-plated brass one,” he says.
G Style has supplied stainless steel products to various projects all over Europe, Middle East, North Africa and Asia, including 3,500 hotels, residential buildings, private houses, luxury cruise ships, hospitals and commercial complexes. “Our fully-automated production line and up-to-date technology allows for precise delivery times and ensures constant high quality products,” he concludes.
