Kitchen Magic, a division of Adel Fakhro and Sons, a state-of-the-art kitchens supplier in Bahrain, is currently installing the kitchen units and worktops for the lavish villas at the Riffa Views development.

“One of the unique features of the project was that it has different distinctive residential estates and we had to be careful with the specific design detail for each estate and ensure that it blends with the overall signature design of the project,” says Sreekumar, general manager of the company. “We have been able to comply with all the details required, in terms of technical specifications, design criteria, finishes and also offer competitive prices at the same time.”
“Considering its sheer size and magnitude, the project was fairly fast paced and our specialised project team set about working very closely with the consultants, offering solutions that would fit into the tight schedules, and yet not compromise on the quality or design needs of the client,” says Sreekumar.
“Also the fact that we had to work with different contractors, who were handing over the villas at various stages, has been one of the challenges,” he says. “In addition, the project had seven types of standard villas, with each having a unique setting. It was a challenge to co-ordinate all the different settings, while at the same time ensure consistency and adhere to overall design theme. We had to work very closely with our suppliers and specific teams had to be allocated to achieve the desired results,” he adds.
Commenting on the project, he says: “Riffa Views is a unique development with its own identity. We are honoured to be associated with such a prestigious project. Even though there are many real estate developments taking shape in the region, Riffa Views have taken pains to carefully craft out a distinct positioning for their project and we have worked very closely with them to ensure that the overall parameters are met.”
Turning to the Bahrain market, Sreekumar says: “Bahrain, like other Gulf countries, is going through a construction boom which is likely to last for the next few years. This is throwing up new opportunities for the suppliers in the region. However, this growth has also brought in new players in the market. Only those suppliers that are able to live up to the expectations and needs of the market and are able to adapt to the changing needs would survive the immense competition that has come in due to this growth.
“We have been able to grow exponentially over the past year, securing large contracts for a number of prestigious projects. There are lots of additional projects coming in and we are quite optimistic that with our commitment to quality and excellence, we would be able to be part of the growth.”
“We had envisaged such a growth and had the necessary plans in place. This has involved introducing changes in our work culture and organisation structure, which have in turn helped us adapt to the ever-increasing demands of the market,” he adds.
Elaborating on the company’s plans for the future, he adds: “We are on a growth path and want to expand our business to other areas related to our industry. We also want to take our rich experience to other locations. Thus, we will be expanding our operations to other GCC countries too very soon.”
Apart from Riffa Views, Kitchen Magic has been involved with several other projects in Bahrain. “A rich project experience coupled with excellent service has helped us secure various prestigious projects in the kingdom that include: Durrat Al Bahrain, where we are working with leading contractors such as GP Zachariades, Chapo, Kooheji, Projects and Bokowa. Besides this, we are currently executing various other projects including a twin-building in the Diplomatic Area, Seef Towers, Marmara Towers, Trust Insurance Building, Al Gosaibi Properties and various apartment buildings in Juffair,” he says.
Kitchen Magic, a part of the projects division of Adel Fakhro and Sons, has been in operation for the last 25 years. The company has a showroom on Exhibitions Avenue, Manama, and has plans to move into a larger facility in Khamis.
