
Oman’s tender board has awarded contracts worth RO120.31 million ($311.8 million) for a number of infrastructural projects in the Sultanate, the largest among which is a RO68.44 million deal for the construction of Hasik Al Showaimiyah road in the Dhofar governorate.
Other contracts went towards designing and construction of road links and internal roads in the wilayats of Sumail and Bidbid (RO4.8 million); Sumail (RO3.89 million; Bahla (RO2.86 million); and Mudheibi (RO4.04 million) and Ibra ($2.89 million), both in the Sharqiyah region.
A tender worth RO5.59 million for consultancy and engineering and architectural services for the renovation of InterContinental Hotel has also been approved by the tender board.
Tenders for the construction of Wadi Al Hayoul and Rahab health centre and the development of Wadi Al Hawkeen in the wilayat of Rustaq also received the green light.
