Leading design houses Campbell Design and dpa have  amalgamated to form a single lighting design consultancy, which will see the combination of their strengths to provide a unique human resource in terms of experience and scale.

“This merger brings together two of the leading lighting design practices to form the most substantial lighting consultancy in the UK and perhaps the world,” said the trio of Gary Campbell, Barry Hannaford and Nick Hoggett, who announced the amalgamation of their respective consultancies. Both practices currently are enjoying  successful period, and when further recruitment is completed to fill current design vacancies, the combined practices will have a team of 50 people.
“Ensuring clients still experience the same personal service that both practices have provided to date is extremely important to us. To facilitate this, we have ensured the strength of our administrative team is of the highest order thus providing the partners, associates and senior designers with more time to concentrate on ‘lighting design’ to which we are both passionate and committed,” they said.
Campbell stated that Campbell Design has seen a dramatic rise in workload and profile since its inception in 2000. “Joining forces with Nick and Barry at dpa lighting design will enable us to maintain and strengthen the high level of design service and resource experience we provide for all our clients. dpa lighting design is one of the leading lighting consultancies in the world with a very significant client base and design resource.
