Insuwrap, a leading manufacturer of waterproofing and packaging products, has embarked on an ambitious expansion that will see the company using a new production line for the manufacture of PVC waterproofing membranes and TPO membranes starting from next year.
The new production line, that has been set up using state-of-the-art technology and know-how from Germany, will help the company increase its existing range by allowing it to produce a waterproofing membrane with a wide range of thicknesses, says a company spokesman.
In this technology, the extrusion and calendering system is designed for PVC-dry-blend as well as for TPO using double-stage planetary roll extruder and a four-roll calender that will help ensure optimum homogenisation. The system also uses a beta gauge thickness measuring system that will help ensure an accurate controlled thickness for sheets reaching a capacity of up to 10 million sq m of single layer or 5 million sq m of multi layers using up to 10 million kg of raw materials.
Established in 1985, Insuwrap is a 100 per cent Saudi-owned company. The company’s production facility was constructed and commissioned using state-of-the-art technology and know-how from Germany.
Over the years, the company has applied more than 30 million sq m of Insuwrap PVC membranes in the markets of Saudi Arabia, Middle East, Africa and Europe. Insuwrap’s products that have a proven reliability even in extreme weather conditions are manufactured to meet the highest international standards (DIN, ASTM & SIA) satisfying all the requirements of modern waterproofing technology, the spokesman concludes.
